With three years of field research done in Ningxia, China. This project was a collaboration with the National 973 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Our Product: EcoCrust
BioBind offers EcoCrust an a patented, eco-friendly sand binding solution designed to combat desertification by transforming loose sand into a firm, water-retaining surface. Made from a recycled byproduct of paper manufacturing, it binds sand into a permeable shell that stabilizes the soil while allowing air and water to pass through creating the ideal conditions for plant growth.
Each tonne of EcoCrust can treat around 5 acres of dessert, making it one of the most scalable, cost-effective solutions for restoring degraded landscapes.
Designed to be used to turn unusable wastelands back into a productive arable land.
